It feels like marketers are always looking to divide moms into categories. From working moms, stay at home moms, Millennial moms, to Gen X moms—there are almost as many ways you can segment this group as there are stages of childhood development! In honor of Mother's Day, a few of the women on our team, a young Millennial Mom, older Millennial Moms and a Gen X mom, share their media habits, shopping behaviors, and how they’ll be spending Mother’s Day…you might find they have more in common than you may have thought.

What’s your go-to social platform? Instagram

When you have a parenting question, what’s the first thing you do? I always Google…then I’ll check my local Facebook “moms” page to make sure I’m not a complete cyberchondriac!

As a busy mom, what app do you find helps you the most? Waze! It helps me coordinate the best routes to sports practice and helps me avoid traffic when I leave work. It even tells me what time to leave to be on time!

What’s your best Mom Hack? Shower at night.

Are you shopping more frequently online? If so, what products do you buy most often? I buy everything online—except groceries. I love grocery shopping (is that weird?).

How will you be spending Mother’s Day? It’s a surprise! When I find out, I will let you know!

When you have a parenting question, what’s the first thing you do? Usually Google if it’s medical, I reach out to my friends for everything else.

As a busy mom, what app do you find helps you the most? Groovebook, it makes printing photos from my phone so simple…and the grandparents love getting copies too, of course!

What’s your best Mom Hack? Using a laundry basket in the bath tub, critical for corralling squirmy babies.

Are you shopping more frequently online? If so, what products do you buy most often? I swear I order something on Amazon every single day (although, these days it’s mostly diapers and LEGOS). Amazon is my go-to for almost everything in the house, and in my makeup bag.

How will you be spending Mother’s Day? Hopefully, sitting in the sun with a glass (bottle?) of rosé while all three kids nap in unison…a girl can dream, right?

What’s the first thing you check in the morning on your mobile phone? I always check my personal and work email.

What’s your go-to social platform? Instagram – I love that it’s just photos with a few comments and I can zip through it quickly without getting sucked into articles and photo albums.

When you have a parenting question, what’s the first thing you do? I will usually Google and ask my sisters for their opinion.

As a busy mom, what app do you find helps you the most? I love the EveryDollar app. As I single mom with three kids, I’m on a budget and this app keeps me honest and on track with my money.

What’s your best Mom Hack? The school hot lunch – when the cupboards are bare this comes in handy.

Are you shopping more frequently online? What products do you buy most often? I will buy anything I can online to avoid going shopping. My most recent online purchase was a Leaf Blower and Weed Wacker – they arrived in an enormous box!

How will you be spending Mother’s Day? I am going to Vermont for the weekend to visit my sister and friends. A group of us will be doing a four-mile run in prep for the Mad Marathon relay we are doing in July. Followed by brunch and mimosas.

What’s the first thing you check in the morning on your mobile phone?  Email

What’s your go-to social platform? Facebook and then Instagram

When you have a parenting question, what’s the first thing you do?  Typically ask my sister, but then Google if I don’t get the answer I want.

As a busy mom, what app do you find helps you the most? The Skimm. I love it. I get all my news first thing in the morning without having to watch it on TV, which is typically being used by my daughter who's watching cartoons.

What’s your best “Mom Hack”? Honestly, I don’t use a ton of mommy hacks with my daughter. I like to tell her the benefits of doing certain things which helps me get her to do what I need and/or want. She always eats her veggies because that’s what will make her big and strong. She puts ice on her booboo’s because that will make her feel better.

Are you shopping more frequently online? If so, what products do you buy most often? Yes! Everything is bought online from groceries, toiletries, toys and clothes. Without online shopping our house and pantry would be empty! Products most often purchased are day-to-day items like vitamins, toiletries, paper towels, etc. Amazon Prime gets a lot of our money.

How will you be spending Mother’s Day? Brunch in the morning, meeting with a contractor in the afternoon because I flooded my basement accidentally.
